Composting with the Leicestershire Rotters

Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells and cockle shells,
And fine leaf mould all in a row.

Not only is composting the best and easiest of ways to recycle waste, it also ends up on the garden saving all that travel to the garden centre, saving you money on mulch and petrol.  Leicestershire has its own Home Composting Club, which can be visited at Leicestershire Rotters.

Be a Christmas Rotter

On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love composted for me.
12 Torn up Christmas cards,
11 Parsnip tops,

10 Sprigs of Holly,
9 Potato skins,
8 Ivy garlands,
7 Gift tags,
6 Paper chains,
5 Brussel sprouts,
4 Naughty napkins,
3 Poinsettias,
2 Christmas wreaths
And a shredded Christmas tree!
